Park: Sunday 28th

I went to the park with Ning today to play volleyball, although we spent a significantly larger amount of time watching TV and eating pizza. I had to chase the ball down the road at least twice, because Ning can't control her strength. I kept telling her, "with great power, comes great responsibility" but like always, Ning the rebel ignored my great words of wisdom.
I think picking up (and chasing) the ball was more tiring than the actual practice.

Crazy Pearl: Friday 26th

Today it dawned on me, the freakish similarity between Pearl and a typical crazy woman. If you've ever heard her in the change rooms, i'm sure you'd agree with me. There have been many instances where I had to tackle my over excited friend, pin her down and ask someone to shoot her with a tranquiliser before she could become an occupational health and safety issue.

I don't like: Tuesday 23rd

Here is a list of some of the things I don't like:
  • When you have to stop reading in a really exciting part of a book
  • When your can't find anything to use as a bookmark
  • When you desperately try to stuff objects thicker than the book in between the pages
  • And fail
  • When you eventually have to spare a tissue for a bookmark
  • When you realise the tissue is a 3 ply, extra thick n' large, lavender scented kleenex tissue folded neatly in a compact tissue packet
  • When you feel very guilty about it
  • When you have to reassure yourself you'll keep the tissue for all your other books
  • When you lose it anyway

Whoops: Friday 19th

Science was pretty eventful today. I spent one period with Pearl and of course, lost a great deal of dignity. Even more than usual. The first beating to my pride took place when the ground smashed our test tube while I was nearby. But when the second piece of deformed school science equiptment was found being inspected by me was when the humility really hit.
For the rest of the science lesson, Pearl and I chained ourselves to our chairs as not to break anymore school property.

Chinese NY: Monday 15th

Those of Chinese background would probably have noticed that they were being given stacks of cash from relatives you've never met, wrapped up in a piece of red paper. I usually look forward to this day of adults giving and kids receiving because I've been among the receiving for my whole life.

But what would happen when the time comes when I stop being a "receiver"? From what I can see, there is this invisible step in life when you just stop being given red pockets. How does that happen? Do you just suddenly stop getting red pockets?... And when it does happen, are you obliged to start giving them out? From what I could see this New Years, these individuals would just sit awkwardly between the exchange of red pockets, neither giving or receiving.

I also have some exciting news that happened today. At around 12:20am my brother ran in to my room and presented me with his hand made batman signal light thing. It was so awesome, the shape was clear and really effective. I'll post photos another day, but there should be some on my brothers blog soon at http://thisblogisverygood.blogspot.com/ if you simply can't wait.

Comics: Tuesday 9th

I think i've gotten something for comics recently. I read the "Justice" comic book trilogy and i'm happy to say I now remember most of the superheroes from the Justice League and some of the "bad guys."
My brother has been announcing that he has a lot of maths to do all afternoon when being asked favours. I should try that some day, because the moment I got too his room, he was looking for something to build his batman torch with. He's planning to make one of those screens which when you shine a torch through it, the light is shaped as the batman sign. There's one in "The Dark Knight" but its massive. We're still hunting for something to use. Suddenly everything circular seems like a potential batman torch...

New Car: Saturday 6th

I went with my parents to pick up our new car today. My mum couldn't handle the smell of the leather, so she drove back in her car alone. Our last two cars, my uncle's car, cousin's and stepbrother's cars have been from the same Honda dealer and since change doesn't suit my parents very well, so was this car.

Sore: 4th Thursday

I'm really weak from volleyball and the swimming carnival today. My arms aren't very bruised or anything but my muscles feel very weak and I actually couldn't write yesterday because my hand was shaking so much.
On a nicer topic, i'm proud to announce that I seem to be able to match my brother in terms of wittiness. Although he remains adamant that his remarks are of far greater quality, he can no longer convince me into giving him cookies so that I could have some of his super powers. Nor can he pinch my flab with a pair of tongs as an "experiment" and expect me to just start crying.
Anyway, thanks to Dennis, "Helena", ning and Becca for commenting on my last post.

School Photos: Monday 1st

I haven't posted in ages... again. :/

Today we had our school photos and I had a haircut yesterday. That is a considerably big risk for most people but I gave the hairdresser strict instructions. And incredibly my hair wasn't embarrassingly different and short, to the disappointment of edi and pearl who were looking desperately for a short, spiky and pink-headed bib roaming the school this morning.
However, I didn't order single photos, as an extra act of uncertainty, and as Karen pointed out, there are better uses for $7 than an assortment of photos of you about to sneeze.

Oh and also. Please comment if you actually read my blogs because I really don't know how many people read them and i'll probably stop writing blogs if there aren't many who read them. I'd like to know before I cheat myself into blogging to myself on the internet for too long.
